GP Direct Access CT
A normal or near normal CXR result does not necessarily rule out cancer.
GP Direct Access CT for exclusion of Lung Cancer is available for adult patients who have had a recent Chest Xray which showed no suspicion of cancer but where the combination of clinical symptoms and risk factors continue to cause concern.
If patients have a Chest X-Ray which shows any suspicion of cancer the patient will be automatically escalated onto a suspected cancer pathway.
