Maternity Visiting Guidance

Pregnant women value the support from a partner, relative, friend or other person through pregnancy and childbirth as it facilitates emotional wellbeing and is a key part of personalised maternity care. We have carefully considered the visiting arrangements to ensure women are supported during their maternity journey. Detailed below are the current visiting arrangements that are in place. Please ask a member of staff for more details if required.

Antenatal Clinics (In Hospital Obstetric)

Children can accompany you during antenatal clinic appointments. Some restrictions may remain in place within the ultrasound department. Please contact the ultrasound department to discuss individual requirements .

You may have one support partner 24 hours a day for the duration of your stay.
An additional support partner can attend to support you during labour and immediately following the birth of your baby.

If you need to stay on the Maternity Ward an additional visitor or your children may visit between the hours of 2pm until 7pm.
