We believe that seeking to involve, and responding to feedback is critical to ensuring healthcare services are developed and delivered in a way that meets the needs of everyone in our local community, through our Patient Experience and Involvement Strategy and the Membership Management and Engagement Strategy (see link below).
As a foundation trust we have more than 19,000 members, comprising local people, patients and staff, with whom we regularly engage about our performance and plans. We also actively involve schools and colleges, community groups, third sector organisations and partners in how services are shaped and provided.
A wide range of information and engagement events are held throughout the year and are promoted on our homepage. please email: corporateaffairs@lthtr.nhs.uk
Being a member of Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides you with the opportunity to influence how healthcare services are developed.
As a member you will receive invitations to information and engagement events, including the Annual Members Meeting and Trust Matters, our membership magazine.
You will also be eligible to vote in our Council of Governors Elections or stand to be elected as a Governor on the Council of Governors yourself.
Membership is designed to be flexible to allow you to be involved as much or as little as you want. Some members just want to receive newsletters to ensure that they are kept informed about what is happening in their local hospitals, whilst others want to attend events or take part in consultations in their areas of interest.
