At the quarterly LTHTR Council of Governors meeting on 22 October the Trust’s governors discussed how we were inspired by the amazing levels of skill, personal commitment, compassion, flexibility and resilience of all Lancashire Teaching Hospitals staff displayed through these unprecedented times during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Governors are continuously kept informed of the pressures and challenges on the services and the professional and selfless responses of staff through both direct and indirect contact with staff, patients, families and the Trust Management team and both Executive and non-Executive Directors.
Your embodiment of our Trust values in finding different ways of working and continually improving at a time when you are experiencing the same worries and concerns around lockdown rules, protecting your own loved ones, childcare etc as your patients and their families is exceptional.
As pressures on the NHS are building up again as we move into the winter the Governors are unanimous in wishing to publicly express their heartfelt and sincere thanks to all staff across both Chorley and RPH for their hard work and dedication and to their families without whose support this couldn’t happen.
There are so many examples both on the front line and behind the scenes of exceptional quality of care, patience and dedication and of individuals and teams going the extra mile it simply makes us as governors and the communities we represent proud and thankful that we have such a magnificent healthcare team to look after us.
THANK YOU TO ALL OUR MARVELLOUS STAFF!
From your Council of Governors
