A Scarecrow Trail in Fulwood will raise funds for Baby Beat, the charity supporting services for babies and parents at maternity services run in Preston and Chorley by Lancashire Teaching Hospitals.
The We Are Fulwood community group has organised the fun half-term event running from 9am on Sunday October 25 to Sunday November 1.
Organisers Joanne Singh and Lucy Watson are selling maps at £1 each for families who want to follow the trail.
So far around 50 scarecrows based on the theme of children's characters have been entered in exchange for a £5 donation, with all proceeds going to the charity.
Joanne said: "I always hear of the good things Baby Beat does, which is what inspired the idea to support the charity with the Scarecrow Festival.”
The trail will cover the Cadley, Sharoe green and St Vincents Road areas. Maps of the trail will be available to buy and download.
Prizes will be available for completed maps, as well as the best scarecrows.
Organisers have reminded participants to stay safe and follow social distancing rules while taking part in the activity.
