Cash4Clothes in Preston has teamed up with local neonatal and maternity charity Baby Beat to help raise funds with an ‘Autumn Clear Out’ campaign which will run throughout October.
Cash4Clothes are asking people to drop off their unwanted clothes, shoes and accessories at the shop on Blackpool Road in Ashton and are offering customers the opportunity to donate to their 40p per kilo return to Baby Beat instead of keeping it.
Lisa Walmsley, Manager at Cash4Clothes on Blackpool Road, Preston, said:
“We thought this was a fantastic opportunity to show our support for a really important local charity. Baby Beat exists to make improvements in facilities and equipment for babies on the maternity and neonatal units at Royal Preston Hospital, and we are delighted to be able to help them with our Autumn Clear Out!”
Temporary Manager at Baby Beat, Cathy Skidmore, said:
“We are so grateful to Lisa and Cash4Clothes for offering us this opportunity. Every donation will really help us to continue providing the best possible services for new mums and babies at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. We would be so appreciative of any donations to Cash4Clothes, big or small, to help us out in what are challenging times.”
The Cash4Clothes shop, which has been running for 8 years, moved into its Blackpool Road premises more than 3 years ago.
Donations can be dropped off at Cash4Clothes, 437 Blackpool Road, Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston, 10am-6pm during the week and Saturday 9am-5pm.
Sealed bags of donated items can also be dropped at the Baby Beat Shop in the Sharoe Green Maternity Unit at Royal Preston Hospital, 10am-4pm Monday to Friday.
Items of clothing, shoes, handbags, belts and other accessories are accepted. Towels, bedding and curtains unfortunately cannot be accepted.
