Last year, a team of three runners from Radiology here at the Trust took on Preston’s Guild Wheel (in the pouring rain!) to raise funds for Baby Beat. They succeeded in running the whole 21 mile route in under four hours, and raised over £1,000 in sponsorship for their efforts!
This year, event organiser Magda Borkowska is taking on the distance again on the 14th May, accompanied by radiology colleagues Hemant Sonwalkar, Sid Wuppalapati, Nav Subedi, and John Sammut – and they would love some of their Trust co-workers to join them for the 21 miles. Does anyone fancy the challenge?
The team are aiming to raise over £2,000 for us, to help support life-changing projects for the benefit of the babies, mums, and mothers-to-be who are cared for each and every day in our wards and clinics. If you’d like to take part in the run with them, and help them reach their £2k target, please email Magda (Magda.Borkowska@lthtr.nhs.uk) for further details. Or, they’d also love it if you could show your support of their challenge via their Just Giving page: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/guildwheelrun
Thanks so much to our runners for the fantastic support, and best of luck from the whole Baby Beat Charity Team!
