The Cardio-Respiratory Echo team has been awarded Echo Quality Accreditation from the British Society of Echocardiography, which is valid for 5 years!
We are the second centre / Trust in the country to achieve this status so we are super proud of this amazing achievement!
This is something the Echo team have worked so hard to implement and achieve, and so we are delighted with this recognition.
We are particularly pleased with the feedback given to our echo QA process. They thought the process demonstrated a high degree of support and benchmarking for staff at all levels of experience with action plans and outcomes given to all members of staff and with a mechanism in place to ensure confidentiality. Multiple levels of benchmarking opportunities have been created in order to minimise variability in both study performance and reporting.
Structured successful training programme is in place and good feedback, quality improvement, and reassessment from outcome of echo MDT meetings was demonstrated.
