Rosemere’s annual Walk in the Dark is returning this year, on Saturday, 22 April. It is a night-time charity walk from Chorley and District Hospital to Royal Preston, and a lot of staff like to get involved. Right now, there is an early bird entry price of just £10 (rather than the usual £15) – sign up at https://www.trybooking.com/uk/events/landing?eid=36597&
Setting off at 8.30pm, the approximately 11-mile long route is signposted and marshalled, and there are medals and well-deserved refreshments for all walkers too! Plus, there’s a fab warm-up and entertainment on the night, to spur you on.
From Monday, 6 February, it will be £15 to take part. Under 12s can join in for free, and all funds raised will help make a difference for the benefit of local cancer patients, wherever they are cared for across the region.
You can walk in support, in celebration, or in memory of loved ones, you can treat the walk as a fun challenge, or simply as a social activity. It’s completely up to you! All that matters is that you take part and help us raise these crucial funds – you can even bring the dog!
We also love to see our walkers lighting up the dark and dressing as brightly as you can! There will even be face painting available at Chorley, and glow-in-the-dark accessories for sale too. Our fundraising team and fab volunteers will be there on the night from 7pm.
