We are now in week five of the six weeks of Lent, which asks believers to set aside a time each year for fasting, representing Christ’s time of temptation in the wilderness, as we focus on his life, ministry, sacrifice and resurrection.
Each week we have asked a colleague what Lent means to them, and this week, Liz Gethin, Clinical Lead Physio (Hands), said: “For me, Lent is a time to remember and reflect on the sacrifice that Jesus made for everyone.
“It is a time to draw near to God in prayer and turn away from bad habits that have crept in.”
