On Tuesday 27 June we will host our first of many digital pop-up clinics from AGE UK, at Chorley in the ATC entrance.
AGE UK have been granted funding for this wonderful project, to support patients and families from age 18, who feel excluded through digital technology. This scheme will cover a lot of detail, from NHS Apps, website accessibility, personal banking, GP appointments, virtual hospital appointments and emails.
As well as providing information and education, the Digital team can also visit patients in their homes and help them with connectivity issues, show them how to contact family/friends by video and search for websites for hobby interests.
One of their aims is to help support patients with how digital health can help them to stay as fit and healthy as possible. This could be while they wait for their treatment, our online ‘Set for Surgery’ programme can be promoted here.
Patients can simply self-refer to the scheme and staff will be able to refer patients to them.
