Members of the public are invited to attend the first Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB).
Integrated Care Boards were first established in July 2022 and replaced Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs).
The ICB is a statutory NHS organisation which is responsible for developing a plan for meeting the health needs of the population, managing the NHS budget and arranging for the provision of health services in a geographical area.
David Flory, chair of NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria ICB, said: “At the AGM we will share our achievements, and challenges in our first part year as an Integrated Care Board as well as presenting our annual accounts and annual report.”
Nationally, the expectation is that an ICB will:
- Improve outcomes in population health and healthcare
- Tackle inequalities in outcomes, experience and access
- Enhance productivity and value for money
- Help the NHS support broader social and economic development
This will be the first AGM for NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria ICB and will be held on Wednesday 13 September from 5.30pm until 7pm at County Hall, Preston, PR1 8XJ.
There will also be the opportunity for members of the public to ask questions, and If you would like to attend the AGM, please book your place using this link - https://www.lancashireandsouthcumbria.icb.nhs.uk/about-us/board/agm-2023.
