Have you had an overnight stay in one of our hospitals over the past six months? Are you 16 years or older? If so, we need your feedback!
The 2023 National Adult Inpatient Survey will launch on 1 November and run through to 30 November 2023, which looks at experiences of inpatients receiving treatment in NHS hospitals. The results are used to help us improve our services, care and overall experience for patients, so your feedback really matters.
This year the CQC are actively recruiting patients who have had an overnight hospital stay in the past six months. They are looking for patients to take part in a 1-hour informal one-to-one discussion to help develop a survey on the experience of using inpatient services. This discussion will take place via a video call and patients will be asked questions about their experience during their inpatient stay. Participants will receive a £40 voucher as a thank you for taking part.
Please note, The Confidentiality Advisory Group (CAG) gives Section 251 (NHS Act 2006) approval for the use of confidential patient information without consent for a specific purpose on behalf of the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care to gather inpatient information through the Business Intelligence Team for the purpose of the survey, although no patient identifiable information is shared.
If you are currently an inpatient and do not wish for your data to be shared, please contact our Patient Experience and Liaison (PALS) team by emailing PALS@lthtr.nhs.uk to opt out.
