Following our appeal via social media and radio appeal on BBC Radio Lancashire from our patient experience & involvement lead Alison Cookson we have had lots of donations of lovely knitted, sewn and crocheted hearts arrive at the hospital.
These hearts are used for our connected hearts campaign, during a time were inpatient visiting is suspended, they connect two people who can’t be together in the physical sense, and provide a little comfort.
We have had so much lovely feedback from patients and their families around how much this means to them and will carry on with the campaign.
A huge warm thank you to every single person that has made this happen.
