The obstetric delivery suite at Royal Preston Hospital has 12 rooms with en suite facilities, water birth room and 65 beds.
The suite includes a triage facility to ensure emergency obstetric problems such as abdominal pain and bleeding are identified and treated promptly.
A dedicated obstetric theatre and ultrasound department ensures mums and babies can access the range of services they may need within the suite.
Midwifery led care is also available for women at Royal Preston Hospital.
