Biography
Christian is a Consultant Paediatric neurologist based in Preston. He is passionate about services for children with neurodisability and is the lead for the regional tone management service. He has established a multidisciplinary neuromuscular service for children in Lancashire, linking in closely with the North West Adult and Paediatric Neuromuscular Network.
Christian and his team were awarded the 2016 Quality award, category working together, by the Lancashire Teaching hospitals NHS Trust. Looking after children and young people with long term conditions, he is keen to further develop transition services.
He is the clinical lead for Paediatric Integrated Care System, Lancashire South Cumbria. The aim is to improve equality and access to care, working towards a more modern and sustainable service. While primarily a clinician, he has a keen interest in research. He works closely with local universities and recently obtained a charity grant in collaboration with Manchester Metropolitan University to study the benefit of hydrotherapy in patients Duchenne muscular dystrophy
