Biography
Andrew F. Alalade is a Consultant Neurosurgeon based in Preston, United Kingdom, with sub-specialty interests in Skull base, Cerebrovascular Neurosurgery and General Neurosurgery.
Dr Alalade had his undergraduate medical training at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. His neurosurgical residency training was done in the London North Thames rotation. Following the completion of his chief residency stint at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London; he was awarded the FRCS (SN) in September 2016. He gained additional training as the BASO/HCA International Foundation Traveling Fellow at the Weill Cornell Medical College - New York Presbyterian Hospital, USA before doing advanced subspecialty fellowships at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane and the Walton Centre, Liverpool.
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, England (FRCS SN) and the European Board of Neurosurgical Societies (FEBNS). An author of multiple book chapters and peer-reviewed publications, he has also won several surgical training awards and is a College Tutor with the Royal College of Surgeons England. He was appointed a Consultant in 2019, and is currently a honorary senior clinical lecturer with the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN).
