Biography
Graduated from Manchester University and then pursued a surgical career in the North West, completing basic surgical training, and awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1996.Completed Higher Surgical training the same year and worked in various hospitals in the North West as well as two years in full time surgical research at Withington Hospital.
Awarded the Intercollegiate Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons and the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in 2005, before embarking on additional training in laparoscopic colorectal surgery. Appointed consultant a district general hospital in North Wales, and led undergraduate education and developed minimally invasive colorectal surgery.
Appointed Consultant Colorectal / General Surgeon at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2009 and is developing minimally invasive surgery.
