Chronic Pain Service
The Chronic Pain Service provides assessment, diagnostics and treatment for patients with chronic pain conditions that result from trauma or disease.
Treatment can range from medication, specialist pain relief interventions ( x-ray or ultrasound guided), transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, and psychological interventions (individual or group sessions).
More than 1,200 new patients are seen by the Pain Service every year.
The pain team also includes consultant anaesthetists, consultant psychologists, clinical nurse specialists and specialist physiotherapists.
Pain clinics are held Monday to Friday
