The Neurorehabilitation Unit provides specialist care and treatment for patients across Lancashire and South Cumbria with acute, disabling neurological conditions such as traumatic brain injury, encephalitis, brain haemorrhages and complex strokes. We also treat acquired spinal cord injury, such as traumatic spinal cord injury, spinal infections, spinal strokes, and rare conditions such as Guillain Barre syndrome.
The neurorehabilitation team works closely with the mobility and physical rehabilitation team and includes specialist consultants, specialist nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and neuropsychologists.
