Car Park Information
Disabled Blue Badge holders are now eligible for free parking at both Chorley and Preston Hospitals. To register for free parking the badge must be produced by the badge holder to the General Office with a car registration number, at either site during normal office hours.
On production of the correct and completed CAR PARKING CONCESSIONS CERTIFICATE signed by the Ward/Department the following concessions apply:
Outpatients attending an appointment at least three time per month for at least three months (free parking)
Parent of a sick child in hospital overnight (free parking)
Patient with life-long condition requiring two or more hospital visits per week (free parking)
Family visitor to a gravely ill patient (free parking)
Visitor to a relative with an extended stay in hospital beyond 21 days (£2.50 concessionary fee).

Patients Travel Expenses
Patients in receipt of Universal Credit, Income Support, ESA (Income related), JSA, Guaranteed Pension Credit, HC2 or HC3 Certificate can claim expenses for travelling to hospital for appointments. They must provide evidence of the benefit they are in receipt of, proof of appointment and any bus or rail tickets. The Hospital does not pay for Taxi Fares. If they travel by car mileage will be paid at the relevant rate and any car parking fees will be reimbursed on production of a receipt.
