The Bereavement and Donation Team consists of clinical and administrative staff who can help support and guide you in the immediate period following a bereavement.

Bereavement Support
The Bereavement Team are a specialist team who may contact you in the days following your loved one’s death.
Most people have their own support in friends and family and may not require additional support.
Should you feel you need additional support, the Bereavement and Donation Team are able to provide emotional support surrounding a bereavement. The team are not here to provide counselling; however, they can offer a safe space to explore feelings and emotions you may be experiencing.
In addition, the team can offer:
- Discussion and support in what matters most to you
- Support with memory making
- Information on tissue donation
- Signpost to other services, agencies and charities where appropriate
- Support to staff who are bereaved
You may be referred to the team by your ward or you can call to discuss your individual support needs.
