What do I do if I cannot attend my appointment?
If you are unable to attend your appointment or need to change it to a more suitable date and time, it is important to let us know as soon as possible. This will enable us to offer your appointment to another patient and rebook you another at a more convenient time.

- Orthopaedic Booking Team on 01257 247674 (Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm excluding bank and public holidays)
If you need to cancel or change a new patient appointment booked through the electronic booking system called NHS e-referral you need to contact the Referral Management Centre
The opening times are 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and the number is 01772 325100
There is also a national telephone line 0345 6088 8888 and this is open Mon – Friday 8am to 7pm and Sat/Sun/Bank Holidays 8am to 4pm

Please note that successive patient cancellation requests may result in you being discharged back to your GP or referrer.
What happens if I fail to attend my appointment?
It is important that you attend your appointment for your health and wellbeing. If you fail to attend and have not told us, your hospital doctor will review your case notes and decide if a further appointment is required, or you may be discharged back to the care of your GP.
